Preserving Judaic sacred music through the creation of new classical works.
Our History
Founded in 2014 by Dr. Robert H. Freilich, JSMF preserves Judaic sacred music by fostering newly commissioned classical works rooted in Judaism’s diverse musical traditions.
Throughnewly-commissioned classical compositions, performances, and educational outreach JSMF shares and promotes Judaic sacred music with audiences of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, and religious affiliations.
JSMF’s primary focus is to offer a platform where composers and performers can freely explore and create new music that is based in Judaism’s diverse musical and liturgical traditions…a place where the past and the future creatively meet.
